It’s up to you to decide what you are willing to fulfill. I hope you choose wisely.

I can go to Japan see another black person, don’t know them at, first time seeing them in my life, give them a gesture of acknowledgement and have them completely understand what that’s about. It’s a simple moment of seeing each other and having a silent, two second celebration of our survival.

Because of this black people are the spiritual pupil of the eye that sees clearly what it means to be humbling to a higher power beyond this earth. We are a constant reminder of the failed morality of the US but also the world. It’s in our DNA to have hope, pride, strength and creativity. It’s in our DNA to survive

In order for me to exist, someone had to give birth to me, and in order for that person to give birth to me someone had to give birth to them and so one. There is no denying that, that is just science. So you don’t need to believe in ancestral connections, but you can at least acknowledge and thank those who came before you for your existence. Good or bad ancestors, it does not matter. You exist now to make up for their mishaps, to continue their good work or accomplish something that’s within your destiny. It’s up to you to decide what you are willing to fulfill. I hope you choose wisely.
